Over thirty-five years of experience as an architect in the field of Architecture and
preservation, including many types of adaptive reuse, rehabilitation and restoration projects. Project types include libraries, churches, theatres, child care and medical clinics, college administration, commercial buildings and residences.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Mount St. Mary’s College: Multiple building administration office renovations as well as classroom and clinic tenant improvements.
  • Engine House 18 Art Center: Adaptive reuse of 4200 SF fire house for Adults painting, printmaking and ceramics arts program.
  • Orchard gables: Adaptive reuse of 4145 SF two story farmhouse for non-profit tenant office spaces.
  • Lankershim North Hollywood Depot: Adaptive reuse of historic train station for Metro customer service station and Bicycle Center
  • Silver Lake Library: Award winning design of 23,550 SF branch library with LEED certification for platinum
  • Hollywood Bungalow Courts: Award winning rehabilitation of 42 units in four
    courtyards for low income and special needs tenants
  • Malaga Cove Library: Multi-phased restoration of 20,000 SF National Register library in Palos Verdes
  • Paul Williams Early Childhood and Community Health Center: Adaptive reuse of two story 11,250 SF Building for childcare and health clinic..
  • Pico-Union Branch Library, Design of 29,000 sq. ft. turn of the century style library in historic Pico-Union neighborhood.
  • Arroyo Seco Regional Branch Library, Design for traditional style 14,000 sq. ft. library on difficult site in Highland Park Historic Overlay Zone.
  • Van de Grift Place, 11 unit townhome, duplex and carriage flat infill project in Angelino Heights HPOZ.
  • Shrine Auditorium, Seismic strengthening and repair of historic ceiling, and rehabilitation and restoration of facility auditorium seating, dressing rooms and restrooms.
  • Fine Arts Theater, Renovation recreating the Skouras style in this 350 seat theater. 
  • Friendship Baptist Church, Seismic strengthening and rehabilitation of 20,000 SF church, social hall, and classroom Mission Style church building. 
  • Victor Dol Building, Award Wining design for complete reconstruction of 18,000 SF retail building in Broadway National Register District. 
  • Preserve LA Grants, Preparation of preservation plans for KCET Studios, Scripps College Campus, Casa de Rosas Dining Hall, and White Point Nike Missile Site.
