this one acre site is entitled for up to 80 units of affordable
housing. The owner, however, realizes the importance of creating
a project which compliments the adjacent neighborhood and has
been working with M2A to masterplan the project to accommodate
the maximum number of units that also responds to the community
concerns for density, parking, open space and quality of design.
Options have been explored which incorporate neighborhood serving
retail uses, community open space, and a mix of design vocabularies
that address the differences between the single family residential
neighborhood to the the busy Western Avenue to the east. Initial
community meetings have provided useful feedback to be incorporated
west and in the subsequent phases of planning and design.
