Built in 1926 as 40 single and one-bedroom units, the Hollywood Community Housing Corporation acquired the building in 1995 for conversion to 23 units of family housing. While creating a mix of unit sizes ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, the conversion maintains substantial portions of original interior details, restores the historic lobby, and restores the exterior clinker brick facade to re-establish its identity as a key gateway building into Hollywood from the 101 Freeway. Community spaces and a children's outdoor play area are provided to meet the needs of low income families.
